I love being in the woods. I love the sounds, and the smells. So come on in and lets see what we can find. I see some Indian Cucumber-root (Medeola virginiana), this is my favorite to snack on while on a hike, and yes they do taste like cucumber!
As we get a little deeper in the woods we find Toothwort (Dentaria diphylla in this area), the roots of this plant taste alot like Horseradish to me.
Just stand still and take in the woods, really look around. Feel the ground, listen to the sounds, smell the smells. Let yourself feel as part of the forest.
